About Silicon
SiliCon is the annual event held by Siliconventions, Ltd. (a non-profit educational organization as defined by the I.R.S.) as a fundraiser for the Diabetes Society of Santa Clara Valley.
At SiliCon, we conduct seminars that cover hard science and the science fiction, fantasy, and horror entertainment genres. Topics include writing, art, costuming, music, model construction, computer graphics, film studies, robotics, and various scientific interests, as well as diabetes education and outreach. This is done by special guests, panelists willing to provide their time and expertise, and volunteers running the convention itself.

We Run on Volunteers
