Our Independent Film Festival
This year, SiliCon 2007 is joined by HorrorYearbook.com to bring you SiliCon's 3rd Annual Independent Film Festival, Friday night, October 5. 2007 We at SiliCon believe that the San Francisco bay area is filled with talented people and that there is yet to be discovered a new Lucas or Spielberg within our community of fans. We would like to encourage all independent filmmakers everywhere of all ages to submit their works for screening. Don't miss this chance to screen your film to a large audience and have a panel of industry professionals judge your work. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!

The film categories are:
• Super Heroes
• Horror
• Science Fiction
• Fantasy
• Promotion of Space Exploration
• Diabetes Education (This is in support of our charity, the Diabetes Society of Santa Clara Valley. Scientific accuracy will count in this category.)

Entries may be live action or animated. Please note that SiliCon is a family friendly convention, so please keep contents to a G or PG level rating. We may accept some R rated material to be shown at later hours of the screening. SiliCon reserves the right to decide if an entry is not acceptable for an immature viewing audience.

All entries must be on DVD or VHS with a running time of 20 minutes or less. Entries must be received by August 31, 2007. All entries will receive a pair of one-day convention passes for Friday night. This can be updated for the full weekend, if desired.
